Portfolio Analyst to support our portfolio management activities in Trading & Revenue (m/f/d)

Imagine a future where you are engaged in optimising the hedge decisions for wind portfolio, and provide daily insights and sparring that improves our company revenue line

Join us in this role where you’ll improve, test, and validate the applied hedging strategies to ensure continuous feedback and improvements. Special focus will be on the intra-month delivery management, where weather is the key driver for both production volumes as well as the wholesale market price formation.

Welcome to Commercial & Portfolio
You’ll be part of the Portfolio Management team in Commercial & Portfolio (C&P) where you, together with your colleagues, will define and execute optimal hedging strategies for our company's power portfolio based on comprehensive risk/reward considerations. Your responsibility will be to support with analyses across the portfolio with a primary focus on covering the intra-month horizon, where you will focus on improving the applied hedging strategy and accompanying dynamic hedging path.

As a team, we highly-skilled, international, and diverse team of specialists working in an exciting work environment with flexibility to influence own work.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • back-testing applied hedging strategies vs alternative strategies
  • validating input data and assumptions against realised values
  • improving the effectiveness of the applied hedging strategy
  • ensuring operational excellence across people and systems
  • explaining the financial results and deviations to expectations.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are interested in the complexity of power markets dynamics and trading
  • are solution orientated and find motivation working with data driven decisions
  • take pride in delivering analysis and insights of high quality
  • enjoy working with large data sets and doing quantitative analyses
  • are a team player with a positive mind and communicate well with your colleagues
  • are motivated to take active ownership of T&R's revenue management responsibility.
