Senior DevOps Engineer with Python

Imagine a future where you will enable Ørsted commodity trading and support our vision for a sustainable world via automated data and algo infrastructure

 Join us in this role where you’ll be enabling Ørsted’s commodity trading activities by developing, optimizing, and automating the data infrastructure and workflows for data analytics-focused teams. You’ll work with analysts and developers to ensure environments and data pipelines are robust and automated, allowing users to focus on analytics while you manage infrastructure and CI/CD responsibilities.

While your employment will be anchored in IT, your daily work will be as part of the Surfboard team, which develops and operates the data & analytics platform of the Trading Express Agile Release Train (ART). Together with your colleagues in Denmark, Poland and Malaysia, you will enable the trading floor with technical expertise on fast and secure provisioning of data sources and integrations based on highest standards. You’ll play an important role in:

  • working with Cloud and Kubernetes to keep our Data Analytics Platform reliable, secure, and high performing
  • supporting the deployment of analytics applications and taking the lead in accelerating PoCs and reducing time-to-market for applications
  • developing and improving CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment, enabling our data teams and analysts to deliver results more quickly
  • setting up and tuning monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) to keep our systems healthy and efficient
  • building reliable and secure Python integrations and automating package maintenance using best practices.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • use your Python skills to automate and improve infrastructure while assisting quants and analysts with innovative ideas
  • apply your experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and Cloud solutions to streamline workflows, aiming to reduce the time from idea to deployment for dashboards, analytics insights and algos
  • work hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana
  • can collaborate on Cloud projects, focusing on performance, security, ease of use, and cost efficiency
  • need to be physically present at the Trading floor in Gentofte, Denmark to ensure close and effective collaboration with analysts, traders, and quants.
