Among 360 participating companies in Taiwan, only 29 received the Gold Award, recognising long-term commitment to employee well-being and workplace excellence. Ørsted’s achievement highlights its ongoing efforts to build an inclusive, collaborative, and purpose-driven work environment where employees thrive and contribute meaningfully to the company’s mission.

Christy Wang, Chairperson of Ørsted Taiwan, says: “At Ørsted, we believe that people are the driving force behind the green energy transition. We’re deeply committed to building a workplace where our colleagues can grow with purpose, realise their ambitions, and contribute meaningfully to a shared vision. From comprehensive talent development pathways to everyday positive support, we aim to create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. Being recognised with the Best Companies to Work for in Asia award for five consecutive years, and once again receiving the Sustainable Workplace award, is a meaningful recognition of our people-positive culture.”

This year’s HR Asia Awards theme, ’Multi-Generation Synergy’, celebrates collaboration across age groups. Ørsted’s results in the 2025 Total Engagement Assessment Survey were strong across all categories – corporate culture, personal development, and team dynamics. Notably, employee satisfaction with flexible working scored 15 % higher than market average, reflecting Ørsted’s emphasis on work-life balance through benefits such as 20 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all genders and 21 days of annual leave from day one.

Ørsted’s second-time recognition as a Sustainable Workplace also reflects its success in embedding environmental and social responsibility into daily operations. Employees rated the company 10 % higher than the market average for environmental impact and 8 % higher for social responsibility – underscoring Ørsted’s alignment between long-term sustainability goals and workplace culture.

Now marking a decade since establishing its Asia-Pacific headquarters in Taiwan, Ørsted employs nearly 230 people across the region, representing over 15 nationalities, with close to 90 % locally hired. This milestone reflects not only the company’s strategic investment in Taiwan as a hub for offshore wind, but also its enduring commitment to building an inclusive, future-ready workforce. Through progressive workplace policies and people-focused development, Ørsted continues to cultivate a thriving culture where employees are empowered to grow, contribute meaningfully, and lead the way in delivering a sustainable energy future.
