IT and digital

Snr. Innovation & Technology Consultant

Imagine a future where you drive the digital innovation by using your ingenuity, technology enthusiasm, and programming skills to create innovative prototypes based on emerging technologies.

Join us in this role where you’ll spearhead the uptake of emerging technologies and digital innovation in the organisation by scouting, developing, and prototyping technology. You’ll be responsible for the creation and development of prototypes based on emerging technologies and cloud to identify new business potential. You'll be part of the Architecture & Technology Community which consists of 120+ skilled and experienced architecture and technology professionals, who support the further maturation of the technologies across the organisation’s agile release trains and business units.

Welcome to Architecture & Technology
You’ll be part of our Innovation & Tech Incubation team where you, together with your colleagues, will scout, maintain, and develop the Tech Radar, our tool to keep track of the technological development. We access technologies at an early stage and conduct rapid prototyping to test and demonstrate the business potential in close collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders. We share our learnings and insights with the organisation through our quarterly Edge Talks focused on how technology enables our organisation and further create awareness and push the innovation agenda.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing rapid prototypes based on emerging technologies or developed solutions to demonstrate value to business and advising your colleagues and IT support functions towards adoption
  • scouting technologies based on criteria, such as attractiveness, TRL, strategic fit, and organisational preparedness
  • creating awareness through the technology talks and other communications channels
  • working closely with our Incubator team to support the maturation of the technologies by designing end-to-end solutions that comply with security standards and operability requirements
  • maintaining and growing a network of partners, companies, and internal and external vendors who can inspire and enable innovation.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are technically savvy, hold a university degree within areas, such as data engineering, computer science, programming, or similar, and have experience with Python, C#, or Java
  • have experience from the innovation space and solid hands-on experience with prototyping and data engineering
  • have experience working with Cloud computing, IaC, and containers
  • are driven by curiosity and integrity and can empathise with the users and match their needs with new technologies to translate it into business potential and value
  • have an appetite and interest in working with technologies, such as IIOT, Digital Twin, BIM, Edge Computing, Advanced Connectivity, Applied AI, Web3, Spatial Computing, and Quantum Technologies
  • are a team player, a natural problem-solver, and devoted to deliver high-quality solutions.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
