Internal Communications Advisor

Imagine a future where you will be responsible for driving employee engagement on our UK West Coast 

Join us in this role where you’ll support the work of the Internal Communications function that sits within the wider Communications Department. Using your years of experience in celebrating employee success and running employee engagement campaigns for our UK West Coast, you’ll help write and deliver local communications and engagement as well as the wider Internal Communications strategy for the UK market.

You’ll be part of the Internal Communications & Employee Engagement team where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver best-in-class internal communications support across our UK business to grow and engage an enthusiastic employee community focused on creating a world that runs entirely on green energy. Joining an experienced team of Internal Communicators, you will also contribute to the development and implementation of the Internal Communications strategy across the entire UK market.  

You’ll play an important role in:  

  • co-creating and driving the delivery of the UK & West Coast Internal Communications Strategy 

  • delivering a range of communications and engagement activities in the UK West Region 

  • leading on creating original content for internal communications channels with specific reference to celebrating the success of our West Coast colleagues 

  • utilising a mix of hard copy and digital engagement to share awareness messaging and drive behavioural change in the business 

  • helping craft original messaging to grow the internal brand of the Head of the West Coast region both locally and across our corporate footprint. 

To succeed in the role, you:  

  • are an experienced internal communications professional focused on employee engagement 

  • are a specialist in engaging colleagues around the brand, vision, and values of an organisation 

  • have excellent writing and editing skills with a flair for creative storytelling 

  • are able to design visual content in line with company brand guidelines 

  • can foster good relationships across the business and act as local ambassador for good news stories from the region.

Please note that you’re expected to do 10-25% travelling in relation to your work, as in addition to Barrow-in-Furness you’ll also be responsible for employee communications for colleagues at our Liverpool site. There’ll be occasional travel to other UK locations and very occasionally to our other international offices.
