VMware Platform Specialist

Welcome to IT/OT Infrastructure Engineering
You’ll be part of Production IT IPL in Infrastructure Management where you, together with your colleagues, will support, maintain, and govern the VMware virtualisation platforms across IT/OT globally. You’ll play an important role in:

  • maintaining and supporting our existing vSphere platform
  • maintaining, extending, and supporting existing PowerShell scripts
  • maintaining patch levels for ESXi hosts and underlying hardware firmware
  • supporting and maintaining our server based on HPE and liaising with our network and other platform teams regarding VMware operations
  • participating in projects, delivering VMWare platforms to Windfarms around the globe.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience with 2nd & 3rd level troubleshooting issues regarding vSphere platform, vSAN, and network connectivity
  • have experience with patch management using VMware Lifecycle Manager
  • have experience with VMware Aria for Ops + for Logs
  • have knowledge about HPE servers and the HPE OneView management tool and experience working with ITSM processes and ServiceNow ticketing tool
  • know how to work in a diverse and international environment with many different nationalities and cultures.
