Labor Relations Specialist

company’s overall US offshore wind labor relations policies. Together with the Head of US Labor Relations, project teams, and the state market managers, you’ll help implement labor strategies to ensure the successful advancement of existing projects, inform efforts to secure additional business, enhance economic and employment opportunities in partnership with community stakeholders, and shape our position and reputation as market leader in the region.

Welcome to Labor Relations
You’ll be part of Labor Relations where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for shaping and implementing the company’s labor relations policies, maintaining constructive relationships with stakeholders to positively impact the emerging US offshore wind market. You’ll play an important role in:

  • supporting the work of the Head of Labor Relations and operational leadership on union-related issues
  • supporting implementation of the company’s labor relations strategy, policies, procedures, and action plans to achieve overall organizational objectives relative to labor-management partnerships
  • disseminating our labor policies within internal business areas and with outside vendors and ensuring that such policies are adhered to in all procurement, construction, and operational activities
  • supporting the Labor Relations team in maintaining constructive relationships with applicable union representatives at the state level
  • monitoring states in which we are active and strategically responding to risks to ensure that our projects are aligned with local community interests
  • maintaining current knowledge of employee and labor relations trends.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., industrial and labor relations, social science, labor economics, employment or labor law, or workforce development
  • OR have 5-7 years of relevant professional experience related to labor unions, community organizing, inequity and equity issues, and climate change
  • demonstrate firm understanding of legal contract language and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • possess deep familiarity with principles of organizing, collective bargaining, and strategic campaigns to contribute to the development of projects
  • can find creative solutions to issues and work with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders and travel frequently throughout the Northeast region in relation to your work

For position in New York, the salary for the role is $110,00-130,000.
