QHSE Engineer Graduate

Imagine a future where you‘re setting the design and process standards for safety and quality in the renewables industry

The Ørsted Graduate Programme is designed to unleash your potential and give you a unique opportunity of a fast-tracked career in Ørsted. We offer you an intense two-year developmental journey where you’ll learn from experts within your field and get international project experience, tools to drive innovation, and a strong cross-functional network with other talents.

The Graduate journey
Our Graduate Programme consists of two-three rotations, where you’ll solve business challenges, be responsible for your own assignments and be engaged in our day-to-day business decisions.

You’ll do rotations in the QHSE team, Engineering team, and QHSE department in Denmark. As part of the QHSE and Engineering team in the US, you’ll be involved in contractor screening and performance evaluation, reviewing technical project documentation, and doing risk assessments. You’ll also be visiting construction and operational sites to verify compliance and process adherence. The rotation in Denmark will focus more on the central QHSE services provided to the business, for example high-risk incident investigation and auditing.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • assisting the business in building and implementing vital work processes across the organization
  • defining, developing, and implementing quality and HSE plans on construction projects and at operational sites
  • pre-assessing, monitoring, and evaluating suppliers and contractors’ QHSE performance and working with them on creating individual development plans
  • reviewing design and installation documentation to ensure it complies with any applicable legal and company standards and guidelines
  • providing support and guidance to the engineering department regarding any QHSE matters including risk assessments and incident root cause investigation.
To succeed in this role, you:

  • have a B.Eng. or M.Eng. in structural or electrical science
  • have a natural interest around green technology and innovation subjects
  • own an analytical and examining mindset – both in terms of people and technology
  • are a strong writer and reader of technical documentation in English
  • are interested in Quality and HSE as an area of work while wanting to make a difference.
